YVR Take Care is meant to restore passenger confidence shaken by the COVID-19 pandemic

Electrostatic cleaning, physical distancing, plexiglass, temperature checks, and signage; measures meant to restore the public’s faith in the safety of aviation, a faith tested and shaken during the COVID-19 pandemic.

“This new programme is meant to help people move through the airport safely, with confidence and get ready to travel again when our governments remove border restrictions and isolation requirements,” said Robyn McVicker, Vancouver International Airport’s Vice-President of Operations and Maintenance, at a news conference Thursday announcing enhanced measures the airport would be taking as a result of the pandemic.
